American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist with 2 years of registered MRI experience and ARRT (MR) certification for weekend coverage shifts at a Level 1 Trauma Center teaching hospital.

• Level 1 Trauma Center and major teaching hospital setting
• MRI department equipped with one Philips scanner
• Average caseload of 20-25 patients per 24 hours across the department, not per tech
• Weekend coverage required: 16 hours per day Saturday and Sunday from 6:00 AM to 11:00 PM
• Remaining 8 hours scheduled as an evening shift (2:30 PM-11:00 PM) on a Monday, Wednesday, or Friday
• No call requirement
• No floating requirement
• Uses Cerner and Fuji Synapse charting systems

• Minimum 2 years experience as a registered MRI technologist required
• BLS and ARRT (MR) certification required
• License required if applicable
• Experience required in Adult Acute Care, Adult ICU, Adult Outpatient, and ER/Trauma settings
• MRI procedure experience required in Abdomen and MRCP imaging
• IV start skills required
• PACS and contrast experience preferred
• Never works alone; supported by department team

• First-time travelers accepted if MRI registered with 2 years of experience
• Caribbean Blue scrub color required
• Free parking provided for travelers
• Flu vaccine required during flu season (October 1-March 31) unless medically exempt with documentation
• COVID vaccine not required
• 100-mile radius rule applies; candidates living 75-99 miles away considered on a case-by-case basis for facility approval
• No RTO restrictions
• Permanent employees cannot return as travelers within 2 years of their last permanent work date
