American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical ICU (MICU) position at a Level 1 Trauma academic teaching hospital, requiring a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience and a KY or compact RN license.

• Work setting is a Level 1 Trauma academic teaching hospital MICU
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
• Minimum of 6 weekend shifts required per schedule period
• 13-week contract

• Active KY or compact RN license, in hand at time of consideration — no licensure hits accepted
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required and must be in hand
• Minimum 2 years of ICU or telemetry experience with medical/surgical trauma and critical care patients
• Level 1 Trauma center experience required
• Academic or teaching hospital experience required
• 2 supervisor references from within the last 3 years of employment required for consideration
• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible

• Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 6 months before being eligible to return as a traveler
• All RTO must be disclosed prior to starting the assignment — requests made after the assignment begins will not be approved
• No holiday RTO will be approved
• Candidates must be available to work their full schedule without conflicts — working multiple simultaneous contracts or assignments is not permitted
• For the first 2 weeks of the assignment, only single days off may be requested; longer time-off blocks may be requested thereafter
