American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Medical Surgical/Telemetry overflow unit in Alabama, requiring an active AL or compact RN license and experience managing high-acuity patients with drip proficiency.

• Medical Surgical overflow and telemetry unit in a hospital setting
• High-acuity patient population with a 1:6 or 1:7 patient ratio
• Proficiency required with cardiac drips including Cardizem, Tridil, and Amiodarone
• Flexible schedule accommodated as either 3x12 or 4x12 hours; day shift 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Every other weekend (EOW) required
• Block booking available

• Active Alabama (AL) or compact RN license, in good standing
• Current certifications: BLS and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Comfort and experience with high-acuity Med/Surg or telemetry patients
• Proficiency with cardiac drips (Cardizem, Tridil, Amiodarone)
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

• COVID vaccination required; religious or medical exemptions accepted if documented
• Flu shot required; religious or medical exemptions accepted if documented
• Compliance documentation must be completed at least one week prior to start
• Scrub colors: all navy, or navy pants with a white top
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
