Description
American Traveler is hiring a Mammography Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment requiring ARRT(R)(M) certification and 1 years of mammography experience.
Details
- Outpatient breast center setting
- Patient ratio of 1:1
- Uses GE mammography equipment
- EMR system is Epic
- 5x8 day shift schedule from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- No weekend or call requirements
- No floating required
Requirements
- ARRT(R)(M) certification required (if applicable)
- Current BLS certification from AHA
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience in mammography
- QA/QC experience preferred
Additional Information
- Performs mammography procedures including positioning, imaging, and patient education
- Assists radiologist with special procedures, needle localizations, and biopsies
- Performs QC on stereo unit and supports MQSA quality standards
- Prepares and stocks exam rooms, maintains cleanliness between patients
- Collaborates with physicians and staff to ensure smooth department workflow and optimal patient care
- May assist in training and orientation of new staff
- Black scrub color required
- Facility is a 159-bed acute-care hospital that earned an 'A' grade in The Leapfrog Group's Fall 2024 Hospital Safety Grade
