Description
American Traveler is hiring a Mammography Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment at a short-term acute care facility, with 2 years of experience and active ARRT and Epic proficiency required.
Details
- Outpatient mammography setting within a 60-bed short-term acute care, Level IV Trauma Center
- Procedures include 3D mammography, diagnostic and screening mammograms, digital mammography, fine needle aspiration, needle localizations, and stereotactic biopsy
- Equipment used includes Hologic 3D and Hologic Affirm BX systems
- Charting performed in Epic (experience required)
- 1:1 patient ratio
- 4x10 hour day shifts, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM
- No on-call, weekend, or block scheduling requirements
- Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities within the state
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of mammography technologist experience
- Active ARRT (M) and ARRT (R) certifications required
- Current BLS certification required
- Proficiency with Epic EMR required
- Experience with Hologic 3D and Hologic Affirm BX equipment preferred
- Must have a personal vehicle for this assignment
- License required if applicable
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
- 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Candidates who have previously worked at a Providence facility as a permanent employee, traveler, or registry/per-diem must disclose the location and dates worked
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning in a travel capacity
- Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are subject to the local radius rule
- Up to 6 days of RTO (or 3 consecutive days) may be approved; requests beyond 6 days require additional client approval — all RTO must be disclosed upfront
- Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
- Scrubs may be any color
- No parking fee on site
