Description
American Traveler is hiring an LPN for a long-term care assignment requiring at least 1 year of LTC experience, AHA BLS certification, and availability to work every other weekend on 8-hour day shifts.
Details
- Long-term care facility setting
- 8-hour day shifts scheduled Monday through Sunday
- Schedule runs 80 hours biweekly, which may alternate between 4 shifts one week and 5 shifts the next
- Minimum every other weekend availability required; schedule adjusted to meet unit and patient care needs
- No block schedules permitted
- No call or self-scheduling; additional shift pickup is permitted
- 6-week contract
Requirements
- Current LPN license required if applicable
- AHA BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of LTC experience required
- Reliable personal transportation required — public transportation is not accessible in this area; all-season or snow tires recommended November through April
- 7-year background check, FACIS Level 3, and NY State check required
- Two professional references required from a Nurse Manager and/or Supervisor — at least one from within the past 6 months and one from within the past year
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
- All employment gaps over 90 days must be explained
- Complete work history including bed count, EMR, and facility type required
Additional Information
- LPN may be required to cover CNA duties as needed
- This position follows an interview-to-offer (IVO) process
- Vermont-licensed candidates are accepted; candidates without Vermont licensure will also be considered
- NY-licensed candidates with proof of pending NY license will be reviewed
- Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are considered local; candidates between 51–100 miles are eligible for the travel rate — distance is measured in a straight line, not by driving distance
