American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position at a Level 1 Trauma Center in Chicago, IL, requiring high-risk OB experience and an active IL RN license.

• Labor & Delivery unit at a Level 1 Trauma Center hospital in Chicago, IL
• High-risk (Level 3) OB patient population
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required (approximately 2 weekends per month)
• Charting via Cerner EMR
• This is a mandatory float facility — all clinicians are required to float at the facility's discretion, including to other Cook County facilities within 50 miles
• No block scheduling or special scheduling requests permitted
• No on-call requirements

• Active IL RN license required — no pending licensure accepted
• Minimum 2 years of high-risk (Level 3) OB nursing experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, and NIHSS
• AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification preferred
• Cerner EMR experience preferred
• Must reside within 75 miles of the facility to be eligible
• COVID vaccination proof required — no exceptions

• Provide high-risk obstetric nursing care in a fast-paced Level 1 Trauma Center environment
• Floating may occur across Cook County facilities; clinicians may receive float notification as little as 2 hours before their shift
• When floated outside of primary competency area, a team-based care model will be utilized
• RTO is limited to a maximum of 5 days per contract, with no more than 2 consecutive days at a time
• No RTO will be approved on weekends, on holidays, or the day before or after a holiday
• Scrubs: any color accepted
• Local candidates are accepted and preferred
