American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN for a night shift travel contract at a Level III Trauma Center, requiring a minimum of 3 years of ER experience and Epic proficiency.

• Work setting is a short-term acute care hospital with 733 staffed beds and a Level III Trauma Center / Teaching Hospital designation
• Emergency Department (ER) unit
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage is required, with only one holiday off able to be approved
• Floating required between both campuses as needed to meet facility staffing needs
• No on-call requirements
• Charting system: Epic (experience required)
• 13-week contract

• Active NC or Compact RN license currently in hand — pending licenses not accepted
• Minimum 3 years of ER nursing experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, CPI, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must be willing and able to float between campuses within scope of practice
• SSN and date of birth required for consideration

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the main campus to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
• RTO is subject to manager's discretion, with a general guideline of up to 4 days per contract
• Any missed scheduled shifts may require makeup shifts as determined by the department
• Pre-start orientation modules are required (estimated 4–10 hours)
• Royal blue and white scrubs required
• Travelers who have previously worked at this facility must have been gone for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• This system allows a maximum of 2 consecutive contracts (one extension) on night shift; travelers must then be gone for at least 6 months before returning
