American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position in Portland, OR, requiring Epic proficiency and the ability to float between multiple facilities across the state.
Details- Short-term acute care hospital with 418 staffed beds
- Emergency Department setting with a 1:4 patient ratio
- Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)
- Every other weekend required
- Floating between units based on unit needs and candidate skill set is expected and required
- Floating may occur across multiple facilities within Oregon, including Milwaukie, Newberg, Portland, Hood River, Willamette Falls, Seaside, and Saint Vincent
- No on-call requirements
- Charting via Epic (experience required)
- Scrubs: any color
- Active Oregon (OR) RN license required
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of ED/ER nursing experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- A personal vehicle is required for this assignment
- At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
- Active RN license must be in hand at time of consideration
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Refusal to float between facilities may result in assignment termination
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not reside within 50 miles of the submitting facility
- Minimal RTO is strongly preferred; excessive RTO requests may impact candidacy
- All RTO requests must be disclosed upfront — requests made after submission or offer may be denied
- When floating to Seaside from a non-Seaside home facility, a $5/hr incentive and IRS mileage reimbursement apply; hotel accommodations are provided for consecutive floating shifts to Seaside
- No parking fee at the facility
