Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a CT Scan unit, requiring ARRT registration and an Associate's degree from a JRCERT-accredited Radiology Program.

- Hospital-based CT Scan unit
- Evening shift, 12-hour days, 36 hours per week, 5 days per week
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Associate's degree from a JRCERT-accredited Radiology Program, or military training graduate of a JRCERT-accredited program as validated by active ARRT certification
- ARRT registered or registry eligible
- Current BLS certification
- Kentucky Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy license required if applicable
- Two (2) years of experience as a Rad Tech in diagnostic radiology preferred
- Prior experience as a CT Technologist in a hospital or medical imaging facility preferred
- Additional ARRT certification in CT preferred
- Strong knowledge of CT imaging principles, techniques, equipment operation, and scanning protocols
- Proficiency in image acquisition and post-processing techniques
Additional Information
- Perform CT scans to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions, including operating CT scanner equipment, adjusting scanning parameters, and performing image processing techniques such as windowing, reconstruction, and multiplanar reformatting
- Verify patient identity, medical history, and physician orders to ensure appropriate imaging protocols are followed
- Monitor patients during scanning procedures for adverse reactions or complications
- Assist radiologists and physicians with image interpretation and provide technical documentation
- Support orientation of new staff and education of Radiologic Technology Program students
- Adhere to radiation safety protocols and ALARA principles to minimize patient and staff radiation exposure
- Perform daily equipment quality control checks and participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives
- MM/DD of DOB and last 4 of SSN required for consideration
