Description
American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with at least 1 year of CT experience, ARRT CT and ARRT R certifications, for a night shift contract at a community hospital in West Tennessee.
Details
- Work setting includes adult acute care, adult outpatient, and emergency department environments
- Community hospital experience preferred
- Procedures include CT of the abdomen and pelvis (with and without contrast), head and neck, spine and musculoskeletal, chest, and vascular CTA
- Advanced imaging skills utilized include 3D rendering (MIP, surface shaded displays, volume rendering), multiplanar reconstruction (MPR), and region of interest (ROI) measurements
- Equipment includes GE and Siemens CT scanners and PACS
- EMR system is Altera; PACS system is McKesson/Change Healthcare
- 4x10 hour night shifts, Monday through Thursday, 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Travelers are expected to float per facility policy
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of CT experience required
- Must be fluent in both X-ray and CT, with the ability to work independently
- ARRT CT and ARRT R certifications required
- Current BLS required
- Active compact or TN state license required if applicable
- IV competency and experience with CTA required
- Experience with portable X-ray and X-ray per facility protocols required
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
- Two supervisory references required for consideration
- Driver's license and SSN card documentation required for consideration
- All RTO must be disclosed at the time of submission; no additional RTO will be approved after submission
Additional Information
- Perform CT imaging across a broad range of anatomical areas including abdomen, pelvis, head, neck, spine, chest, and vascular studies
- Responsibilities include preparation and/or administration of contrast media, radiation safety compliance, starting peripheral IVs, and adherence to isolation precautions and PPE protocols
- Local candidates are accepted at the same bill rate
- First-time travelers are accepted
- Flu exemptions are not accepted
- Any known background issues must be disclosed at the time of consideration
- Return travelers must be identified so that staffing approval can be confirmed
- Candidates requiring fit testing must be clean-shaven
