Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a 13-week night shift contract in an acute care hospital setting, requiring 2 years of CT and X-Ray experience along with active CA licensure and ARRT certifications.
Details
- Acute care hospital setting in a CT/X-Ray unit
- 2 CT scanners on unit: Siemens Sensation 64 and GE 16 Light Speed
- Patient population includes ER patients; procedures include virtual colonoscopy, gated procedures, and general CT
- Caseload of 10–20 scans per shift depending on the shift; evenings are the busiest
- Charting systems include Cerner EMR and McKesson PACS
- Radiologist is not on-site 24/7; Nighthawk is used for remote radiology coverage on night shifts
- Night shift: 9:30 PM – 7:30 AM, 10-hour shifts
- May float within the Radiology department per facility policy
- Holiday coverage follows the same hours as weekends and rotates among staff
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of CT and X-Ray experience required
- Active CA state license required (license required if applicable)
- Active BLS certification required; pending certifications will not be accepted
- Active ARRT (CT) and ARRT (R) certifications required
- Active Fluoroscopy permit required
- Experience with Cerner EMR and McKesson PACS preferred
- Familiarity with virtual colonoscopy, gated procedures, and general CT scanning
- A driver's license is required for consideration
- 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire
Additional Information
- Orientation consists of 3–4 shifts
- Teal scrubs required
- Candidates must not have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility within the past year; candidates placed PRN through outside firms will be considered
