Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel CT Technologist for a Radiology/Diagnostic Imaging department at a critical access hospital in Franklin, NC, requiring dual CT and X-ray competency with a minimum of 2 years of recent experience.

- 59-bed critical access hospital with a 30-bed radiology/CT unit located in Franklin, NC
- Radiology Diagnostic department staffed by 14-15 techs across overlapping shifts
- Daily imaging volume averages 71 studies per day across X-ray and CT
- Procedures include routine CT, diagnostic imaging, and Code Stroke CT with perfusion imaging
- Equipment includes GE Revolution 128-slice CT, GE digital portables, GE digital fluoroscopy, and GE digital X-ray
- EMR: Cerner with Philips Intellispace PACS
- Day shift: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday
- Weekend coverage required (Saturday and Sunday)
- Float between CT and X-ray within the Radiology department
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of CT and X-ray (radiography) experience, with active experience within the last 6 months
- RT(R) certification required; CT certification preferred
- BLS required (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start)
- US SSN and date of birth required for consideration — no Canadian SSN accepted
- One professional reference required (two required for candidates licensed in Florida or Missouri)
- License required if applicable
Additional Information
- Perform routine CT and diagnostic X-ray imaging, including Code Stroke CT with perfusion protocols
- Exam protocols are set by radiologists and posted on-site; facility protocols for patient identification are also available
- IV start skills are preferred
- Candidates must be flexible and comfortable working in a team-oriented environment
- No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
- Navy or black scrubs required
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
