American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with 1 year of experience and current ARRT (CT) certification to perform CT exams across all patient populations in a Level III trauma hospital.

• Level III Trauma, Acute Care Hospital setting with 286 staffed beds
• Performs inpatient, outpatient, ER, and scheduled interventional CT exams (interventional cases on Fridays only)
• Weekend outpatient hours are 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM
• Patient population ranges from newborn through geriatrics
• 3x12 hour day shifts, Friday-Sunday, 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM
• On-call rotation Monday-Thursday from 5:00 PM to 6:00 AM, approximately every 4-5 weeks
• No floating between service lines or to sister facilities
• Epic EMR used for charting

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist
• Current ARRT (CT) certification required
• Current BLS certification (AHA) required
• SCRQSA (CT) certification required
• Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology, or completion of a student clinical rotation with ARRT certification by end of rotation
• Must have state license in hand at time of start; pending licenses not accepted
• License required if applicable
• Must be able to start peripheral IVs, administer contrast media, and perform biopsies
• PACS system experience required
• Radiation badge required (must be provided by the agency)

• Performs high quality CT examinations according to established protocols for physician interpretation
• Reports to the manager of CT and director of radiology
• Scrub color requirement: teal top and black bottom
• Block scheduling may be requested but is not guaranteed
• First-time travelers will be considered
• Previous MUSC staff (including PRN) must be separated from the MUSC system for 1 year before returning as a traveler
• All requested time off must be submitted at time of application for consideration
• Local candidates accepted on a case-by-case basis
• Candidates residing within 60 miles are considered local
• Staff may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June through November, peak in August and September)
