American Traveler is seeking a Certified Respiratory Therapist for a day shift travel position requiring BLS, ACLS, and ICU, general floor, and ED experience.

• Respiratory Therapy department providing cardiopulmonary services to inpatients and outpatients
• Covers ICU, general floors, and ED, with minimal NICU/Peds exposure needed to support ED coverage
• Day shift schedule, 0630-1900, three 12-hour shifts per week
• 13-week assignment length

• BLS and ACLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in respiratory therapy
• ICU, general floor, and ED experience required
• Registered or certified by the National Board of Respiratory Care
• License required if applicable
• No certifications expiring within first 30 days of start
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

• Follow protocols approved by medical staff and department policy to deliver timely diagnostic and therapeutic services
• Assist physicians with invasive and non-invasive procedures
• Deliver medicated aerosols via medical compressed gas
• Maintain airways, manage ventilators, perform intubations, and conduct blood gas analysis
• Does not accept local candidates within a 50-mile radius
• RTO requests must be less than 1 week
• Returning employees who worked as perm staff at any facility within the health system within the past 2 years will not be considered
