Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience in diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab settings, with first-time travelers welcome to apply.
Details
- Acute care hospital cardiac cath lab setting with 3 procedure rooms
- Adult and geriatric patient population
- Procedures include diagnostic catheterizations, PCIs, PTCA, left and right heart catheterizations, TAVR, Watchman, ASD closures, cardiac implant closure devices, cardiac stent placement, rotablator atherectomy, IABP placement/removal, Impella insertion, ventricular assist device insertion, and temporary pacemaker placement
- Equipment includes fluoroscopy and vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose)
- Epic (Cupid) EMR — experience required
- 4x10 hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- Every other weekend required
- STEMI call required on both weekdays and weekends
- Floating within the cath lab and other areas within scope of practice as needed
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of cath lab experience in diagnostic and interventional settings
- Active BLS and ACLS certifications required; CCI RCIS preferred
- Experience with scrubbing and maintaining a sterile field, hemodynamic monitoring, and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias
- Proficiency with Epic (Cupid) EMR required
- GA or Compact license required if applicable
- Two supervisory references (Manager level or above) are highly preferred for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Scrubs are provided by the facility
- RTO must be finalized at time of submission; no RTO or schedule requests will be accepted post-offer or onsite
- Maximum of 7 days RTO per contract; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment
- If 1–2 major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work all of them; if 3 major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work 2 of them
- Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
- No alternate shift or special scheduling requests will be accommodated
- Local candidates are accepted
- Former permanent, per diem, or facility staff must have been away from all system facilities for at least 1 full year before applying as a traveler
- Travelers who previously canceled or received a facility DNR must complete one assignment elsewhere before reapplying
