American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a 17-week Med/Surg travel assignment in Albany, GA, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and at least one prior travel assignment.

• Acute care Med/Surg unit (Acute Care 5) in a hospital setting
• 44-bed unit with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:5, with the possibility of 1:6 on both days and nights
• CNAs are available on the unit at a general ratio of 1:10, and also serve as sitters
• Telemetry is present on the unit but monitored by a different unit
• MEDITECH is the EMR used; experience is preferred but not required
• Day shift, 12-hour shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage required as needed
• Floating required to all acute care, cardiology (for medical patients), and the EC for acute care patient holds

• Active RN license for Georgia (GA) or a compact RN license currently in hand
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• At least one prior travel assignment required; first-time travelers will not be considered
• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required (both must be AHA-issued)
• Driver's license required for consideration
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility (based on the address on their driver's license) to be eligible

• Provide medical-surgical nursing care to acute care patients in a 44-bed unit
• Orientation consists of approximately one week of general orientation (including EMR training) followed by two days of floor-specific orientation
• Caribbean blue scrubs are required
• Candidates employed by this facility within the last 12 months are not eligible for placement
• Any time-off requests must be submitted prior to the start of the assignment
• Albany, GA is a city of approximately 80,000 residents, located roughly 175 miles from Atlanta and within driving distance of both Tallahassee, FL and the Florida Gulf Coast
