American Test Center is seeking a person to fill a multifaceted role. This position includes inside sales, scheduling, and customer support.
American Test Center provides annual safety tests & inspections on cranes, bucket trucks, digger derricks, fire department aerial apparatus and other equipment. Inspections are performed at our customers' locations. The inspections include visual, mechanical, electrical, operational, hydraulic and other non-destructive test methods.
SALES DUTIES:
Employee will learn about the services we provide and be knowledgeable about related codes, procedures, and protocol. Employee will manage a specific geographic sales territory. Sales efforts will include maintaining existing customer base as well as developing new opportunities in that geography. Customer base will include public and private firms such as utility providers, fire departments, highway departments and government agencies.
SCHEDULING DUTIES:
Orders are placed weeks or months in advance. After orders are received you will coordinate a schedule for the field technicians to visit the customers. Employee will be a contact and liaison for customers as well as field technicians operating in that geography. Additions, Cancellations, weather etc, will keep this duty interesting.
SUPPORT DUTIES:
Some Technical/mechanical aptitude is preferred. Candidate should be self-sufficient. Customers and field staff often have technical questions and concerns that require a knowledgeable response. Other office / administrative tasks as assigned may include: filing, data entry, paperwork processing, accounting, invoicing and reporting.
REQUIREMENTS:
Min 2 yrs Sales and customer support (in a service industry a plus).
Office Skills: Windows Office Suite, Office equipment (fax, copier, scanner, mutli-line phones).
Proficient with geography, ability to coordinate schedule and customers to minimize travel time and maximize efficiency of field staff.
Self-Sufficient, Organized, friendly and adaptable to an environment with constant changes.
Ability to multi-task and achieve results.
Additional consideration given to candidates who are experienced with heavy equipment or possess NDT Certification.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
NO COMMISSION SALES , Position is paid hourly based on 40 hour week, first shift. Hourly Wage will depend on Qualifications (regular increases are available) Company provides paid holidays, PTO accrual, Medical, 401K. We have the potential of bonuses. We are a small, family-run organization in River Falls, WI.
