What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supply Materials Sourcing Procurement position at American Technical Services, Inc.?
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Company is seeking a Sourcing Specialist in
manufacturing for their machine building/production operations facility.
Metal Fabrication, machining, finishing etc. Tactical sourcing /
materials and procurement works with external partners and internal
design engineers and buyers to procure parts and components needed to
produce the product, create the inventory, and sell the product to
outside markets. This professional will evaluate suppliers and negotiate
contracts with vendors. . The job is not only about logistics and
purchasing inventory, its about sourcing, negotiating contracts, placing
orders, visiting vendors etc. Skilled in project management, cost
accounting, e-business/e-procurement systems. Should also have global
awareness, good business ethics, and an understanding of legal
contracts. Adept at working across silos and in many different cultures,
soft skills like communication, effective presentation, and
multicultural understanding are also important. The acquisition of these
skills may have come from both formal education and on-the-job training.
This experience can range from management, e-business, purchasing,
logistics, project management, or enterprise resource planning.
Certifications like the CPSM, CPIM, and CSCP are a plus. Project
management. Technical understanding. Cost accounting skills. Ability to
understand financial statements. Understanding of e-business /
e-procurement systems. Troubleshooting, problem solving. Business
ethics. 5-7 years\' experience in manufacturing in a leadership role 4
years\' experience in supply chain management Familiarity with safety
and procedural best practices in SCM APICS certification a plus
Experience With ERP Programs (enterprise Level Preferred) Ability To
lead, train and mentor employees on a personal level \$65,000-\$80,000 ,
