Position Overview:
The Customer Service Representative (CSR) supports customers and internal teams by providing accurate information, troubleshooting product issues, and ensuring a positive customer experience. This role requires excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and a solid understanding of firearms, firearm safety, and related regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries via phone, email, and online channels.
- Provide product information, guidance on firearm features, and assistance with model selection.
- Troubleshoot customer issues, including function concerns, warranty questions, and product compatibility.
- Process orders, returns, repairs, and warranty claims in accordance with company policies.
- Document all customer interactions in the CRM system accurately.
- Coordinate with production, sales, shipping, and gunsmithing/technical teams to resolve customer needs.
- Ensure all communications comply with federal, state, and local firearm-related regulations.
- Maintain current knowledge of company firearms, accessories, and industry trends.
- Assist dealers, distributors, and law enforcement clients with product support and order status updates.
- Uphold a high standard of professionalism, confidentiality, and customer satisfaction.
- Serial number orientation, attention to detail with numbers and more.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications preferred.
- Prior customer service experience, preferably in the firearms, outdoor sporting goods, or manufacturing industry.
- Working knowledge of firearms and firearm safety; ability to discuss products with confidence.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in computer systems, including CRM platforms and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to multitask, stay organized, and maintain attention to detail.
- Must be able to pass all background requirements related to the handling of firearms.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in firearms sales, gunsmithing, or related technical support.
- Familiarity with ATF regulations, warranty processes, and firearm industry standards.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods.
- Occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs.
Hours of Operation:
Monday-Friday 9:00am -5:30pm
Ability to safely handle and demonstrate firearms as needed.
