OVERVIEW
The Staff Accountant will possess an in-depth understanding of accounting principles. Assist in month-end and year-end close. The Staff Account must be detail oriented, excellent at oral and written communication, accurate, and keen to develop a broad understanding of the business.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with Purchasing, Payables and Receiving functions
- Assist with the development and improvement of processes
- Assist in the monthly close process including quarterly and year-end procedures
- Assist with financial audits and tax requests
- Prepare and design ad hoc reports and analyses, as required
- Participate in projects, group initiatives, implementations, and system upgrades
- Ensure compliance with company policies and internal controls
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent experience preferred
- 0-3 years of accounting experience
- Knowledge of accounting principles, procedures, and internal controls
- ERP experience (MS Dynamics preferred)
- Intermediate Excel skills and other Microsoft Applications (Outlook, Power Point, and others)

- Experience in the manufacturing industry preferred but not required
- A self-starter / self-motivated who is eager to learn, work independently with minimal supervision

LOCATION:
- Hybrid role: 3 days on-site in Belle Glade, FL and the option of 2 days remote
