Position Summary
The Account Manager (AM) is responsible for quoting all RFQ’s requiring raw material and material processing using various equipment (e.g., Laser, plasma, shearing, machining, saw cutting, press brake, etc.). The AM will have direct contact with our customers as well as communication with all ASA divisions and outside sales staff with a focus on maximizing revenue and profit. The AM must provide exceptional priority service to all accounts to ensure maximum sales potential.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Foster a culture of safety awareness and safety prioritization.
  • Receive customer phone calls; providing support on inquiries and concerns; following up promptly over both the phone and/or email.
  • Responsible for generating data and additional documents required to quote RFQ’s and facilitate order processing.
  • Quoting all RFQ’s requiring raw material and material processing using various processing equipment.
  • Exceptional customer service required with timely responsiveness to all external and inter-company correspondence.
  • The ability to coordinate and communicate details directly and clearly with our customer base and company personnel.
  • Stay informed on the status of large quotes and support the outside sales staff in any way to secure orders.
  • Responsible for ordering and managing external processes required as needed to expand our capability and increase our overall capacity.
  • All quotes must be completed to satisfy the requirements of the ASA traveler and adhere to the company procedures for the sales position.
  • All information required to effectively quote any job (e.g., material quotes, machine time simulations, internal quote forms, etc.) must be organized and stored in the appropriate centralized shared file location as directed.
  • Enforce all company rules and policies; communicate issues or concerns with Division Leadership and/or Corporate.
  • Perform any other tasks or duties as assigned by the Processing Sales Manager and the Inside Sales Manager.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Experience working in a sales environment a plus however not required.
  • Experience working in a distribution or manufacturing organization preferred.
  • Proficiency with computer systems necessary. Company utilizes various software programs, including but not limited to, Microsoft Office Suite, MIE TRAK Manufacturing ERP, Paperless Parts, etc.
  • In-depth understanding of internal sales paperwork flow.
  • Be self-directed and capable of prioritizing opportunities.
  • Proactive, solutions oriented.
  • Familiarity with all metal processing with a wide knowledge of the overall metal industry.
  • Operate and interact in a team environment with all departments.

Education Requirements

  • A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) is required.
  • Degree or certificate from a technical school or other higher level of education preferred or applicable work experience.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year

Salary : $55,000 - $65,000
