The Department of Statistics in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences (FAS) of Harvard University seeks to appoint a tenure-track professor in Statistics in the area of statistics and AI, with an expected start date of July 1, 2027. We seek outstanding candidates whose research advances the interface of statistics and AI, from foundational and methodological developments to integrated approaches to trustworthy AI-enabled discovery. The tenure-track professor will contribute to teaching and mentoring at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.

In Harvard’s Faculty of Arts and Sciences, tenure-track positions are untenured.

Basic Qualifications: A doctorate or terminal degree in statistics or a related discipline is required by the time the appointment begins.

Additional Qualifications: Demonstrated strong commitment to teaching and advising is desired.

At least one letter must come from someone who has not served as the candidate’s undergraduate, graduate, or postdoctoral advisor.

Salary Range : $110,000 – $165,000
