Position Summary
The Chemist, Analytical Laboratory is responsible for the testing of raw materials, finished products, stability samples, and Research & Innovation samples. This role supports test method validation and verification activities, including cleaning validation, and ensures the timely generation of accurate, reliable analytical data in compliance with cGMP and regulatory requirements.

Shift Schedule: Monday through Friday 8am to 4:30pm
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform routine and non-routine testing of raw materials, finished products, stability samples, and process validation samples.
- Support test method validation and verification activities, including cleaning validation.
- Ensure timely availability, reliability, and accuracy of all analytical test data.
- Actively participate in investigations of quality issues related to raw materials, in-process samples, finished products, and stability samples; assist in identifying root causes and implementing CAPA actions to prevent recurrence.
- Generate and review laboratory data in accordance with cGMPs and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
- Ensure all analytical activities comply with ALCOA principles and that documentation is recorded contemporaneously.
- Follow all approved analytical laboratory SOPs, test methods, and compendial requirements (USP).
- Complete required training on SOPs and test methods prior to performing laboratory activities.
- Maintain and provide monthly reports for:
- USP and Reference Standards
- Laboratory chemicals and reagent inventories
- Ensure project deadlines and performance standards are established and met.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience using Empower chromatography data system — REQUIRED.
- Strong understanding of analytical chemistry and basic mathematics.
- Knowledge of cGMP and FDA regulations.
- Familiarity with USP chapters and compendial testing requirements.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and strong work ethic.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities.
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in an analytical laboratory environment.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree (BS or BA) in Chemistry, Biology, or a related scientific discipline required.
- Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an analytical laboratory role performing analytical testing.
Pay: From $78,000.00 per year
