Duties
- Greet members warmly and address their inquiries regarding accounts, loans, and financial products with enthusiasm and professionalism
- Process loan applications, including loan origination, underwriting, and documentation review, ensuring compliance with TILA (Truth in Lending Act) and Fair Housing regulations
- Assist members with mortgage servicing activities such as escrow management, payment processing, and account updates using financial software like Quicken or similar tools
- Conduct credit analysis and evaluate member eligibility for various loan products by applying basic math skills and financial assessment techniques
- Negotiate terms of loans or financial agreements to meet member needs while adhering to company policies and regulatory standards
- Maintain accurate records of transactions, contracts, and member interactions while ensuring confidentiality and data security
- Collaborate with internal teams on loan processing, underwriting, and account management to deliver seamless service experiences
Qualifications
- Professional, well-developed interpersonal skills essential for serving members and projecting a positive image as a representative of the Credit Union.
- At least one year of experience in a lending department or branch office of a credit union or financial institution.
- Knowledge of member interviewing skills and a good, strong understanding of sales and service.
- Excellent communication skills
- Provide leadership and assistance to Branch personnel
- Must obtain notary
- Must be willing to attend community and Workplace Partner events.
- Must be willing to accept temporary or permanent reassignments and/or be willing to travel to other branches within the region as deemed necessary or appropriate by the employer to meet its business needs.
