Continuing Education Program Reviewer
 
The American Society of Radiologic Technologists is seeking a detail-oriented continuing education program reviewer. A radiologic technologist or other health care professional is preferred for this role. This position will evaluate internal and external continuing education activities submitted through ASRT’s request for approval service, ensuring that each activity contains accurate, up-to-date and relevant content and meets the continuing education guidelines established by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Review continuing education activities to ensure information is accurate and content is consistent with the request for approval service, ARRT continuing education guidelines, state licensing requirements and other certification agency regulations.
  • Determine the relevancy of continuing education content and ensure the credit awarded is consistent with the request for approval service and ARRT continuing education guidelines.
  • Assist in developing and updating department policies and procedures to ensure departments understand and meet established expectations.
  • Evaluate and document personal credit submissions received from members in accordance with ARRT policies.
  • Respond to member and customer inquiries by providing clear, accurate and timely information.
  • Provide subject-matter expertise in the development of ASRT products and contribute to special projects as assigned.
  • Serve as a liaison to other ASRT departments and teams to promote consistency of information, process integrity and the achievement of departmental goals and the organization’s mission.
Successful Candidates Must Meet the Following Criteria:
  • Associate degree or a minimum of 1 year of medical terminology knowledge or health care experience preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
  • Strong time-management, business-writing, computer and critical-thinking skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Demonstrated political savvy and professionalism in all member and customer interactions.
