This is a non-tenure position and awarded academic rank will be commensurate with experience.
The Department has a strong commitment to serve the clinical, education, and research mission of the University and a collegial and collaborative relationship with the clinical services. The expanding Division of Breast Imaging currently has 7 dedicated breast imaging faculty that cover an academic breast imaging service including screening, diagnostic, and procedural examinations. The academic Breast Imaging Division works collaboratively with the Community Radiology Breast Division to ensure the delivery of high-quality care to all patients in the Penn State Health system. Breast radiologists do not take overnight or weekend call.
A passion for teaching is essential as the education of our medical students, residents, and staff is a core value of our academic mission. There is opportunity for clinical research through collaboration with our Division of Radiology Innovation and Value Enhancement (DRIVE) dedicated to outcomes research in imaging and diagnostic pathways. Collaboration with the Penn State Cancer Institute and with Penn State University is also available and encouraged. This candidate would join a team and institution supportive of equitable experiences, inclusion acumen, and culture of inclusivity and belonging that embraces the contributions of all team members.
