Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment such as dump trucks, roll-off trucks, forklifts, and tractor-trailers to load, unload, and transport freight safely and efficiently
- Drive commercial trucks including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and other specialized vehicles across designated routes
- Load and unload cargo with attention to safety protocols and proper handling techniques
- Conduct pre-trip inspections on all equipment and vehicles to ensure optimal safety standards are met before each journey
- Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, routes, vehicle maintenance, and operational activities
- Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during route driving and freight handling
- Assist with site operations as needed, including operating forklifts or other machinery to facilitate loading or unloading tasks
Qualifications
- Valid CDL license with endorsements for manual transmission, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or other specialized equipment preferred
- Proven experience in truck driving and freight delivery, including route driving and load & unload procedures
- Familiarity with operating heavy machinery such as forklifts, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, or tractor-trailers
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations related to commercial driving and heavy equipment operation
- Ability to drive trucks with manual transmissions confidently and handle various trailer types (refrigerated, flatbed, tanker)
- Excellent navigation skills with a focus on route planning and timely deliveries
- Prior experience with delivery driver roles or logistics operations is highly desirable
