The Security Screening Officer plays a crucial role in maintaining safety and security by conducting thorough screenings using specialized equipment. As a member of a Screening Team, this officer ensures compliance with regulatory standards while managing routine security checks. Involves direct interaction with clientele and requires vigilance and a calm demeanor to enforce access controls effectively.
We are looking for full or part time workers. Full time employees get paid time off, starting with one week the first year of employment and two weeks on the second year and subsequent years.
Responsibilities
- Operate security equipment such as X-ray machines, metal detectors and hand detection wands.
- Enforce strict access control procedures to authorize entry
- Ensure compliance with relevant security regulations and protocols
- Conduct routine checks to identify and manage security incidents
- Interact professionally with customers to explain procedures and answer questions
Preferred Qualifications
- Entry-level experience in security screening
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Strong attention to detail
- Patience and effective communication skills
- Ability to resolve conflicts calmly and efficiently
