EFT & Card Operations Supervisor

Primary Purpose of Job

This role is balanced between overseeing daily operations, executing department initiatives, engaging with cross functional partners to drive efficiencies, participating in internal and external audits to ensure compliance with rules and regulations and developing teammates.

Major Job Accountabilities

• Coordinates support, conducts training and directs operations to meet all processing deadlines, service level agreements and goals.   Measures productivity of the team and prepares reports for management.
• Serves as the subject matter expert by keeping abreast of rules and regulations to maintain proficient knowledge and awareness of regulatory and legislative developments and industry trends.  Advises internal teams and provides expertise on projects.
• Fosters strong working relationships with technology and vendors to diagnose and resolve problems, coordinates testing related to system upgrades and disaster recovery exercises and collaborates with internal stakeholders on product offerings.
• Develops, recommends, and implements operational changes to improve accuracy and efficiency.   Actively participates in user groups to enhance the systems used by the team.  Prepares budget, tracks variances, and maintains a current library of procedures and workflows.
• Coordinates collection of requested samples and risk assessments documents for internal and external auditors, participates in audits and risk assessments and takes the lead on walkthroughs.  Reviews, approves, and conducts periodic reviews of procedures to ensure they reflect compliance with applicable state and federal regulations/laws and are communicated appropriately.
• Responsible for the resolution of escalated customer complaints in accordance with applicable policies and regulatory requirements.
• Directs a team of high-performing and engaged employees through effective people leadership practices including regular communication of performance expectations and feedback to employees to maintain high team performance; provide coaching and corrective action as required; actively support employee professional growth and development.

Experience Required

• Minimum four (4) years of Bank operations or other similar processing and/or customer service responsibilities.
• Minimum two (2) years of Supervisory experience is preferred.

Required Skills or Training

• Knowledge of and capable of applying the principles and practices of risk management, accounting & financial reporting, process improvement and internal controls.
• Ability to effectively communicate related policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Must be able to organize, perform complex analyses, conceptualize innovative ideas, interpret applicable laws and regulations and other technical matters, solve complex problems, and make sound decisions.
• Excellent organizational, conceptual, listening, training and coaching skills, and verbal/written communication skills.
• Detailed oriented and deadline driven, with the ability to prioritize, focus, and thrive in a high paced environment.
• Recognizes and identifies problems or issues and develops solutions and recommendations to solve the situation.
• Able to prioritize work, meet critical deadlines, and work effectively under pressure.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
