Summary Description:
Environmental Field Technicians support soil remediation and reclamation projects through physical labor, basic equipment handling, and site preparation. The role requires a strong work ethic, commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively in outdoor conditions. Technicians begin in a labor-focused role and may advance to Field Tech II based on performance and skill development. Progression into the Equipment Operator track is available through hands-on experience with heavy equipment and advanced site operations as skills are developed.

Role and Responsibilities:
  • Assist with excavation, material handling, and site preparation.
  • Operate and maintain basic field equipment for environmental monitoring (Level II).
  • Support heavy equipment operators by acting as a spotter.
  • Conduct drum collection, waste handling and hazardous material disposal.
  • Follow strict safety protocols and environmental regulations.
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas to ensure efficiency.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Field Supervisor.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED (preferred but not required).
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Walk over uneven terrain and perform labor-intensive tasks.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Pre-Employment drug screening required per state regulations.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in environmental remediation, construction, or field operations.
  • Knowledge of basic equipment operation and safety procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative on tasks.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality environmental services.
