Home Health Aide - Home Care

Job Summary:
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Home Health Aides to join our team. As a Home Health Aide, you will provide essential personal care and support to individuals who require assistance with daily activities in the comfort of their own homes. You will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by promoting their independence and wellbeing.

Coverage Area: Central Sacramento

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certification as a Home Health Aide (HHA)
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of home health aide duties and responsibilities
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to provide physical assistance, including lifting and transferring clients, as necessary
- Compassion, empathy, and patience when working with individuals in need of care and support
- Strong observation and problem-solving skills
- Ability to maintain a positive and professional attitude, even in challenging situations

Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, such as bathing, grooming, toileting, and dressing
- Provide mobility assistance, including transferring and positioning clients
- Help clients with their daily activities, such as meal preparation, medication reminders, and light housekeeping
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, as instructed
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure clients' care plans are followed
- Report any changes in clients' condition to the appropriate supervisor or healthcare professional
- Document all care provided accurately and in a timely manner
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for clients
- Build rapport and establish a trusting relationship with clients and their families

Requirements:
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Physical stamina to perform duties that may require bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods
- Adhere to all healthcare protocols, safety guidelines, and privacy regulations
- Uphold the highest standards of professionalism, ethics, and confidentiality in all interactions
- Attend and actively participate in trainings and meetings as required
- Adaptable to changing client needs and willing to provide support outside of regular duties as necessary
