This position requires on-site presence in either Vienna, VA, Camden AR, or Windham, ME three days/week.

Salary range $95k - $160k depending on location.

Essential Functions

  • Lead the Integrated Program Team (Engineering, Operations, Quality, Finance, Contracts, Security, Compliance)
  • Own program schedule, cost, scope, deliverables, and performance
  • Identify, mitigate, and track program risks
  • Serve as primary point of contact for government representatives
  • Lead program reviews, status briefings, and technical discussions
  • Manage budgets, funding profiles, and financial forecasts
  • Translate technical requirements into executable plans with engineering and production
  • Support proposal development by working with Engineering and Operations to define technical solutions and provide staffing plans, schedules, and cost estimates
  • Support transitions across development, production, and sustainment phases
  • Enforce configuration management and change control
  • Ensure compliance with FAR/DFARS and contract terms; support DCMA/DCAA and customer audits
  • Report program performance to leadership; maintain accurate program documentation
  • Drive continuous improvement through lessons learned and process changes


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

This position has no direct supervisory responsibility but may mentor junior program management staff.

Minimum Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (as demonstrated through experience, training and/or testing)

  • Strong project management, communication, and cross-functional leadership without direct authority
  • Ability to perform financial tracking and forecasting
  • Working knowledge of government contracting, defense acquisition, and FAR/DFARS
  • Familiarity with defense manufacturing environments
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Office applications to include MS Project
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance at the Secret level


Education

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, program management, business, operations, or related discipline

Experience

  • 5 years of relevant experience supporting government contracts or defense manufacturing and coordinating multi‑disciplinary project teams
  • 3 years coordinating multi-disciplinary teams


Background Prerequisites

Must undergo and meet company standards for background check, employment verification, reference checks and controlled substance testing.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Manufacturing environment experience, including introducing products into production per USG lifecycle phases
  • Blend of technical and business acumen
  • Experience with weapons, ammunition, or energetics programs
  • Familiarity with Earned Value Management
  • PMP certification


WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Must be able to maintain composure in dealing with executives, customers and staff, occasionally under conditions of urgency and in pressure situations
  • Will perform majority of duties in office environment with occasional exposure to hazards of production or test environment requiring protective equipment
  • May be exposed to or required to handle sensitive and confidential information
  • May be required to move boxes or materials weighing up to 30 pounds
  • Must be able to move about inside the workspace to access materials, supplies and office machinery
  • Must be able to visit and temporarily work at remote U.S. government testing facilities/ranges
  • Occasional international and domestic travel required

Salary : $95,000 - $160,000
