Job Summary:
Drives truck with capacity of more than 3 tons, to transport materials to and from specified destinations, by performing the following duties.
Essential Functions:
- Loads and unloads materials, parts, or products onto or from pallets, skids, conveyors, or trucks.
- Drives truck to destination.
- Prepare receipts for load picked up.
- Maintains truck log, according to state and federal regulations.
- Maintains telephone or radio contact with supervisor to receive delivery instructions.
- Loads and unloads truck.
- Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water.
- Positions blocks and ties rope around items to secure cargo during transit.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of applicable job techniques, tools, and equipment.
- Familiarity with company quality and environmental policies, including AS9100 and ISO 14001.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to following safety procedures, security protocols, and wearing proper PPE.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to accept constructive feedback.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing, production, or technical environment preferred.
Background Prerequisites:
Must undergo and meet company standards for background check, employment verification, reference checks, physical, and controlled substance testing.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in AS9100 and/or ISO 14001 certified environments.
- Demonstrated ability to multitask and manage changing priorities.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- CDL license preferred
Working Conditions and Physical Demands
