The Mitigation Inspector at H2O Away is responsible for overseeing the initial dispatch and site visit for all assigned jobs - from first inspection through securing a signed Work Authorization. Once the job is secured, the Inspector hands off all documentation to the File Coordinator to prepare the job for production.
This role requires strong communication, accurate scoping, detailed documentation, and consistent interaction with homeowners and stakeholders. Maintaining clear daily updates in Dash, our job management platform, is essential to ensuring a smooth workflow and production process.

Duties & Responsibilities

Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of mitigation inspections up to obtaining a signed Work Authorization.
- Document all communication, site findings, photos, notes, and job progress in Dash.
- Perform in-person damage assessments and secure jobs directly with homeowners or responsible parties.
- Participate in weekly strategy meetings with the Marketing Representative, Operations Manager, File Coordinator, and General Manager to review secured and non-secured jobs.
- Keep all stakeholders informed of job status from initial visit through signed authorization (homeowner, tenant, property manager, referral partner, etc.).
- Organize all job documentation - including pictures, notes, sketches, and tasks within the CRM.
- Utilize moisture meters, thermal imaging cameras, and other inspection tools to document site conditions accurately.
- Provide the File Coordinator and Operations Manager with complete scope details and remain available for clarification during production.
- Process required regulatory sampling (asbestos, lead, etc.) in accordance with guidelines.
- Complete all assigned daily tasks and ensure each job is updated appropriately before the end of the workday.
- Excellent communication skills and customer-facing confidence
- Ability to problem-solve and overcome challenges in the field
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and CRM systems
- Strong time-management, organization, and interpersonal skills
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- High attention to detail and strong work ethic
- Experience in restoration, construction, or inspection-based environments
- Valid driver’s license
- Clean driving record
- GED or equivalent
- IICRC WRT
