What are the responsibilities and job description for the Thrift Store Associate position at American Rescue Workers Sunbury Thrift Store?
REPORTS TO: THRIFT STORE MANAGER
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Aid in the overall operation of the Thrift Store.
Duties:
- Aid in the daily activities/operations of the Thrift Store such as; ragging out process, sorting merchandise, pricing, tagging, etc.
- Responsible for helping maintain store cleanliness.
- Responsible for maintaining an accurate record of store receipts and monies, daily operation of the cash register and all receipts.
- Keeping the store stock rotated and put out in a visually appealing manner.
- Responsible for aiding the customers and providing excellent customer service.
- Should have open availability for scheduled shifts.
- Report to the Manager any customer complaints/problems or volunteer complaints/problems.
- Special projects as assigned by the Manager or Keyholder
- Attend employee meetings.
- Must be physically able to stand for prolonged periods, lift, and bend.
- Responsible for aiding in the enactment of a pleasant atmosphere within the thrift store that promotes customer relations, and informs the public of the ministries of American Rescue Workers.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Should have some experience in retail/sales. Able to follow simple directions. Organizational and coordinating skills needed. Must be able to work at an extremely high level of productivity with minimum direct supervision. Must have a neat appearance, business casual attire and pleasant personality to work with customers and employees. Treat the store as if it were your own and staff/customers with respect.
Pay: $10.60 per hour
