What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mill/Winder Operator position at American Renolit Corporation LaPorte?
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
Communicate with the Calender Operator to find out the plc settings for the mill or winder
Prepare and start up the Extruder, Mill, and assist with threading the line
Refeed rolls as instructed by the calendar operator
Follow all relevant policies and procedures (Safety, 5S, and ARC policies)
Provide instruction for co-workers in the correct operation of the extruder and mill
Properly conduct quality tests and ensure proper use of quality equipment
Keep the calendar operator informed if any of the quality tests are out of specification
Prepare all packaging materials for the orders according to the packaging instructions in CoAgo
Package finished rolls at the Winder according to CoAgo packaging instructions
Correctly enter QC and production data into CoAgo
Properly label and record scrap and refeed rolls
Keep work area(s) orderly and clean according to 5s standards
Take care of the edge trims as well as any scrap rolls in the winder area
If the line is down clean the mill and winder area as well as the extruder hopper or hoppers
