American Red Cross Community Volunteer Leaders are needed in Amarillo, TX. and surrounding TX. Panhandle communities. A Community Volunteer Leader is a single point of contact for a community with the primary goal of connecting the community with the Red Cross mission. This critical volunteer role can be performed virtually.

Responsibilities

• Provide Red Cross updates to local service clubs such as Rotary, Kiwanis, etc.
• Participate in local community events as an extension of the Executive Director.
• Shares volunteer needs within social networks/ circles of influence based on consultation with Volunteer Director and Mission Leads.
• Participate in routine meetings with key stakeholders such as fire chiefs, mayors, veterans organizations, local media partners.
• Recruit prospective volunteers and volunteer groups to the American Red Cross in support of the community and regional goals. Help recruit a volunteer workforce that is both inclusive and represents the demographics of the community.
• Red Cross Presence and Connectivity Serve as the primary connector between the community and the American Red Cross mission. Utilizes established communication channels to communicate community needs and stay current on Red Cross programs. Serves as the face of the Red Cross at local community events and serve as the primary public affairs/local communicator in the community.
• Relationship Manager Cultivate, manage and steward external partner relationships to help create and maintain connectedness within the community.
