We are looking for an experienced, sharp, and detail-oriented Customer Service Representative (CSR) to join our tight-knit office team and help keep our operations running seamlessly.
Position Overview
We are not looking for a generic receptionist; we need a seasoned home services professional. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of experience as a CSR in a pest control office or a closely related home services industry (plumbing, HVAC, electrical, etc.).
Because we service a wide territory, extensive knowledge of the Los Angeles area geography and neighborhoods is required to effectively coordinate schedules and route our field technicians.
Key Responsibilities
As our CSR, you will be the primary voice of our company and the critical link between our clients and field technicians. Common daily duties include:
- Customer Intake & Sales Support: Answering incoming phone calls and emails warmly and professionally; qualifying leads, answering questions about our specialized services, and booking inspections/treatments.
- Smart Scheduling & Dispatching: Utilizing scheduling software to book appointments efficiently, group jobs geographically, and optimize our technicians' daily routes across the Los Angeles area.
- Client Relationship Management: Following up with active clients, resolving scheduling conflicts, explaining service agreements, and handling billing or service inquiries with tact and empathy.
- Administrative Support: Managing customer accounts within our CRM, processing payments, sending service notifications, and assisting management with daily office operations.
- Technician Coordination: Acting as the main point of contact for field technicians, updating them on schedule changes, and helping them navigate logistical challenges throughout the day.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience as a CSR specifically within a pest control office or a home services business (e.g., HVAC, plumbing, restoration).
- Local Geography: Strong, functional knowledge of Los Angeles area geography, neighborhoods, and typical traffic patterns to assist with efficient routing.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficiency with modern home services CRM/scheduling software (such as Jobber, FieldRoutes, Workiz, or similar) and standard office suites.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a natural ability to build rapport and handle high-volume calls with a calm, friendly demeanor.
- Problem-Solving: Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment without letting details slip through the cracks.
