Job purpose
Sets up programs and machine parts, per blueprint. Uses blueprints and design sketches to ensure the proper dimensions and tolerance levels of the finished product. Takes measurements of material and selects appropriate dies for the process.
Duties and responsibilities
- Operate Press brake equipment to safely produce quality parts at established production requirements
- Read & interpret blueprints, routers and complete tasks according to specification
- Perform first-piece, in-process and other inspections as required
- Perform operator preventative maintenance (OPM) activity
- Other duties as assigned
- Participate in continuous improvement (CIP) activity
- Strictly adhere to Quality standards
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, including the wearing of appropriate personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, etc.
Qualifications
2-5 years of experience with a press brake.
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to use tools of measurement
- Basic math skills
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
