The Senior Relationship Manager, International is a senior sales and strategic partnership role responsible for driving revenue growth and managing relationships across assigned international sales territories. This includes engagement with institutional clients such as academic librarians, consortia, hospitals, government agencies, and corporations within various global regions. The role focuses on strategic sales planning, territory‑specific market development, client relationship management, and subscription revenue growth for APA’s publishing databases and digital products.

Education And Experience Required
- Bachelor’s degree required (MBA or MLIS preferred).
- 7 years of sales experience in:
- academic databases
- e-journals or e-books
- academic library markets
- 3 years working with channel partners or third-party sales vendors
- Proven track record selling to institutional decision-makers
- MS Office Suite
- CRM Systems, e.g. Salesforce
Revenue & Sales Strategy
- Achieve annual revenue targets for assigned APA publishing products, markets and channels
- Develop and implement Account Sales Strategy & Territory Development Strategy for both new and renewal accounts.
- Identify new customer acquisition opportunities and expand existing accounts.
- Maintain a sales pipeline for renewals and new deals.
- Manage relationships with institutional clients and library consortia.
- Engage decision-makers at academic, hospital, corporate, and government institutions.
- Develop & maintain relationships at all levels of the academic institution applicable in the value chain.
- Conduct needs assessments and consultative sales discussions.
- Present solutions, proposals, and close sales deals.
- Work closely with marketing, product management, and sales operations teams.
- Provide consultative guidance to third-party platform vendors selling APA products.
- Represent APA at industry conferences and customer events.
- Drive growth through:
- New client acquisition
- Gap analysis of existing customers
- Subscription renewals and retention.
- Travel up to 20%
- Other duties as assigned.
