Customer Service/Production Assistant
Hermiston, Oregon
Part-time (3-4 hours per day; Monday-Thursday; will include working between noon and 1 pm)
Position starts mid to late September
Fully on-site
Bilingual preferred

About American Printing
We are a locally owned and operated commercial print shop that has been serving Hermiston and the
surrounding area for over 40 years. We offer printing for businesses and individuals, bindery services,
graphic design, and great service. Our goal is to help your business elevate its image with quality
printing.
Customer Service Clerk Duties
• Assist customers and take orders via phone, email and in person
• Write, schedule, and process work orders
• Check and reserve stock for new orders
• Data entry
• Fax orders to vendors as needed
• Monitor status of vendor orders via phone or email
• Maintain filing of completed work orders
• Additional duties as needed
Production Assistant Duties
• Quality check and package orders as they are completed
• Light bindery duties (such as laminating, stapling, and other similar duties)
• Photocopy customers’ orders
• Additional duties as needed
Skills Needed to Perform Duties
• Basic email programs (primarily Yahoo)
• Basic computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets, databases preferred)
• Basic phone etiquette
• Basic customer service etiquette
• Ability to alphabetize files correctly
• Additional skills as needed
Abilities Required to Perform Duties
• Must be able to life and move boxes up to 50 lbs
• Must be able to perform repetitive tasks handling paper for up to 2 hours
• Must be able to practice safe working conditions
• Additional abilities as needed
