Job Summary:
The Recruiter at American Preparatory Academy reports to the Chief Human Resources Officer and the Human Resources Manager. This position is responsible for managing and executing the recruitment and hiring process for American Preparatory Academy.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Recruits, screens, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with administrators and hiring managers to understand staffing needs and required competencies.
- Reviews applications and resumes to identify qualified candidates.
- Conducts phone screenings and coordinates interviews, hiring events, and onboarding logistics.
- Maintains timely and professional communication with candidates throughout the recruitment process.
- Assists with drafting hiring communications, including interview invitations, offer letters, and candidate follow-ups.
- Sources candidates through job boards, recruiting platforms, networking, and career fairs.
- Maintains accurate applicant tracking and hiring records.
- Ensures hiring processes comply with school policies and applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Assists with pre-employment processes, including background checks, fingerprinting, and employee eligibility verifications.
- Supports onboarding by ensuring all new and rehired employees are processed through HR systems in a timely manner.
- Verifies employee qualifications, including education, licensure, and required state-specific training or assessments.
- Provides regular hiring updates and reports to leadership as needed.
- Performs routine administrative tasks in support of HR operations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
Previous experience in recruiting, human resources, administrative support, or related field preferred.
