Position Summary
We’re looking for a skilled and reliable Plumbing Service Technician to join our team at American Plumbing, Heating, Cooling & Electrical. This role focuses on residential and light commercial service work, including faucet repairs, leak diagnostics, water heater service, drain cleaning, and general plumbing troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities – Plumbing Service Technician
- Perform residential and light commercial plumbing service calls.
- Diagnose and repair leaks, faucets, valves, toilets, and basic fixtures.
- Service, repair, and replace water heaters (tank and tankless preferred).
- Conduct drain cleaning using hand snakes, power augers, and related equipment.
- Provide clear and professional communication with customers about findings and recommended repairs.
- Accurately document materials used, work performed, and job notes in the service system.
- Maintain clean, organized, and stocked company vehicle.
- Follow company safety protocols and plumbing best practices.
- Coordinate with office staff, dispatch, and other technicians as needed.
Qualifications – Plumbing Service Technician
- 2 years of plumbing service experience preferred.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Strong customer service and communication abilities.
- Experience with water heater troubleshooting and replacement.
- Drain cleaning experience required.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in crawlspaces, basements, attics, and outdoor conditions.
- Familiarity with Eagle, Pitkin, and Garfield Counties is preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, climb, and work in confined spaces.
- Ability to lift and carry tools, equipment, and water heaters.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varied weather.
