Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Sales Engineer role based in Scottsburg, IN. The Sales Engineer will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, managing customer relationships, and serving as a technical consultant to the sales team and clients. Key responsibilities include presenting technical solutions, providing product support, preparing and delivering technical proposals, collaborating with engineering and production teams, and ensuring customer requirements are translated into effective solutions. Providing excellent customer service and maintaining a thorough understanding of APM's engineering and manufacturing capabilities are crucial aspects of the role.
Qualifications
- Technical proficiency, including knowledge of injection molding, thermoplastics processing, SolidWorks design software, and mold flow analysis
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain client relationships
- Experience in project management, value stream mapping, and vendor management
- Ability to prepare technical proposals and provide innovative product development and co-development solutions
- Proven problem-solving skills and adaptability in resolving challenges, including mold repair scenarios
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field preferred
- Previous experience in sales engineering, technical consulting, or a related role is an advantage
