What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC & EDM Specialist position at American Plastic Molding Corp?
Machining & Operations
- Program and operate CNC machines, Wire EDM, and Sinker EDM with precision and efficiency.
- Conceptualize and create electrodes required for EDM sinker operations.
- Program CNC mills to machine parts according to functional specifications.
- Generate wire paths and set up Wire EDM machines for accurate cutting operations.
- Program and operate Sinker EDM to burn metal to the proper depth using electrodes.
- Set up lathe programs and perform cutting operations as required.
Mold Repair & Troubleshooting
- Conduct and perform troubleshooting and mold repair, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal production efficiency.
- Conduct blue-off and shutdown procedures to ensure mold integrity and quality.
- Diagnose and resolve machining issues related to EDM processes and CNC programing.
Quality & Safety Compliance
- Produce work that meets established quality standards and ensures consistent satisfactory output.
- Ensure all work meets tight tolerances and quality control standards.
- Accurately measure and inspect machined parts to verify compliance with specifications.
- Follow all safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a secure work environment.
- Maintain compliance with ISO and environmental certifications.
