About the Position
American Piledriving Equipment (APE) is seeking an organized, dependable, and self-motivated Parts Specialist to support our heavy equipment rental and repair operations.
This position plays a critical role in keeping our shop running efficiently. You'll work directly with technicians, vendors, and customers to source parts, manage inventory, coordinate purchasing, and ensure repairs stay on schedule.

Qualifications:Responsibilities
Manage the day-to-day operation of the shop parts department.
Answer customer and technician inquiries regarding parts availability.
Source and order parts, repairs, and services from approved vendors.
Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.
Create and process purchase orders using Microsoft Dynamics NAV.
Receive, inspect, stock, and organize incoming inventory.
Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with inventory counts.
Issue parts to technicians and process customer parts sales.
Coordinate incoming and outgoing freight shipments.
Package and prepare parts for shipment.
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient parts room.
Assist with additional shop support duties as needed.
Experience in construction and manufacturing environments
Knowledge of heavy industrial parts and materials
Purchasing, shipping, and receiving operations
Inventory management, including cycle counts and accurate data entry
Additional qualifications include:
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, and Word).
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV or another ERP system is preferred but not required.
Forklift and/or overhead crane experience is a plus.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
Ability to work overtime as business needs require.
Must successfully pass a background check.
Working Environment
This position works in both an office and industrial shop environment. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is provided.

Physical Requirements
Lift, push, or pull up to 85 pounds independently and up to 156 pounds with assistance.
Frequently stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and lift throughout the workday.
