Responsibilities
- Monitor all entry points and conduct regular patrols of the premises to prevent theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access.
- Utilize CCTV surveillance systems to observe activity and identify potential security threats in real-time.
- Respond promptly to security alarms or disturbances, assessing situations with clarity and professionalism.
- Manage conflicts effectively using conflict management skills, de-escalating tense situations with tact and diplomacy.
- Assist in loss prevention efforts by observing suspicious behavior and reporting incidents accurately.
- Provide first aid or CPR when necessary, supporting the safety and well-being of staff and visitors.
- Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and observations to ensure accurate record-keeping.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, military service or related fields is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of surveillance equipment such as CCTV systems is a plus.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred but not required; training can be provided.
- Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods while maintaining alertness throughout shifts.
- Familiarity with loss prevention techniques and security protocols is advantageous.
