We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and qualified Physical Therapist Assistant who can provide comprehensive treatment programs and contribute to fostering a supportive, open, and trust-based environment for both patients and colleagues. This position offers the opportunity to work in a thriving outpatient orthopedic clinic that emphasizes evidence-based practices, manual therapy techniques, and functional interventions. Core responsibilities include:
- Implement individualized treatment plans designed by Physical Therapists for a wide range of orthopedic conditions
- Utilize evidence-based practices and manual therapy techniques to optimize patient outcomes
- Provide functional interventions that promote patient mobility and improve quality of life
- Collaborate with a team of therapists to share knowledge, improve skills, and deliver the best patient care
- Educate and empower patients to take an active role in their recovery process
- Maintain accurate timely patient documentation and progress notes
- Contribute to the growth and success of the clinic by supporting a positive and open workplace culture
- Handle and transport medical equipment and supplies, requiring lifting and carrying of items up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to bend and squat to assist patients and access supplies
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks
- Must be able to travel to all Premier Orthopaedic Associates locations for coverage as needed
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Physical Therapy
Required Skills & Experience
- Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- Active NJ Physical Therapy License or eligibility for licensure
- New graduates and experienced therapist assistants are encouraged to apply
- Strong clinical knowledge with a focus on orthopedic rehabilitation
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
- Ability to interact with patients of various backgrounds
- Ability to handle a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
- Passionate about providing exceptional care and working with patients to achieve their goals
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Compensation for the role will depend on several factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience.
