- Designing and integrating complete automated production cells, including robotics, vision systems, part feeders, HMIs, PCs, PLCs, and related components.
- Developing, programming, and troubleshooting robust control software for automated machines and manufacturing cells.
- Driving continuous improvement efforts on existing equipment, including control upgrades, panel redesigns or rewiring, and integration of new technologies.
- Creating new electrical schematics and maintaining accurate, up-to-date documentation of existing designs.
- Contributing to functional specifications for new equipment and partnering with manufacturing engineers and equipment vendors on best practices and component selection.
- Providing technical documentation, training, and ongoing support to ensure knowledge transfer and system sustainability.
- Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams and communicating technical concepts clearly and effectively.
- Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering-related discipline.
- Minimum of three years of experience in controls engineering, automation programming, and integration of automated manufacturing systems.
- High level of proficiency in programming and troubleshooting PLC-based and PC-based machine control systems.
- Strong experience implementing and programming HMIs, motion control systems, industrial robotics, and machine vision systems.
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate emerging automation technologies and lead their first-time integration into equipment builds.
- Solid understanding of electrical design principles and the ability to create and interpret electrical schematics.
